We were very impressed with the level of thought that had been given to the guest experience, including the little room off the main bedroom for the fridge and storage, leaving the room clutter-free. The house is beautiful, unfussy and exudes calm.  We very much look forward to our next visit.

Michelle was a wonderful host ,extremely friendly and helpful in every way.The house is beautiful and has a tranquil setting .We didn’t meet Paul but he prepared the most delicious breakfasts. We had a very relaxing time and would highly recommend this accommodation.

Beautiful house and gardens although when we were there it rained a lot so didn’t get chance to use the garden. Really friendly hosts nothing was too much trouble and one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. EV charging is not a problem either. All in all, perfect hosts and a perfect weekend break.

Just book it and go. A stunning house with fantastic spacious, 5* suites and beautiful guest areas including a gorgeous (huge) lounge. Michelle and Paul are the perfect hosts – welcoming and helpful above and beyond the call – we had some logistical issues and they absolutely starred in helping us sort them out. Breakfasts just perfect, setting magnificent, locale spot on. We’ll be heading back very, very soon.

Fabulously run luxury hotel Michelle, one of the owners, was such a lovely, friendly and helpful person. A wonderful break in Northumberland…. My sister and I have just enjoyed a very comfortable three night stay at Chatton Park House. Michelle couldn’t have been a better host. She is very knowledgeable about the local area, even knowing where to park, and went to a lot of trouble booking evening meals for us in the nearby villages. Paul’s breakfasts were delicious, made from fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. We would thoroughly recommend staying at Chatton Park House.

Luxury & superb hospitality in a peaceful and tranquil setting We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Chatton Park House to celebrate my birthday. What a beautiful house in stunning grounds! As others have said, Michelle is a fabulous hostess and although we didn’t meet Paul, we thoroughly enjoyed his breakfasts! Michelle met us at the door and showed us around and then to our suite. We stayed in the Cheviot Suite and we really enjoyed it. We particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet, the very comfortable bed and the sitting area where we could relax in the evenings. Although there were others staying when we were there, we heard nothing and only saw other couples at breakfast. Michelle has got a fantastic blend of being friendly and approachable whilst also allowing guests to come and go as they please. The motto of ‘nothing is too much trouble’ is certainly very true and if I could give 6 stars for hospitality , I would! We enjoyed visiting Alnwick Castle and also Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Seahouses. I would recommend reserving tables for evening meals before you arrive though, especially at weekends. Most places were full on the Saturday evening and it was tricky finding a table. I would recommend Milan in Wooler which was delicious and Des Hood (recommended on the CPH website) was a great taxi and took us there and back. Thankfully we only live 2 hours away so look forward to returning again soon!

Wonderful, welcoming luxury B&B in a beautiful country Georgian house. Beautiful Georgian house, with large well maintained grounds. We stayed in one of the suites, which consisted of bedroom with super-king bed, bathroom with a gorgeous rolltop bath and large separate shower, and a sitting room. Handy having a fridge in the room as I have medicine that must be kept cold. It was quiet and peaceful, and with the comfy bed, we slept really well. Breakfast had lots of choices and all very well cooked. Michelle couldn’t do enough for us and made us very welcome. Easy drive to Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne, Sea Houses and Alnwick. Lots of local pubs to eat in. We loved our stay here.

This was by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. A beautiful house in a hidden part of Northumberland, which has been converted by Michelle and Paul with great style and a real attention to details. Warm, luxurious and welcoming. And for us the area is one of the best but least known parts of the UK. We would definitely book again

A luxurious B&B with great style. This is by far the best B&B we have stayed at in years of travelling. Michelle and Paul have converted their lovely old house with great style and attention to detail. It is indeed luxurious as billed, but with that comes a very warm welcome, a personal touch and an informal style. It’s in a hidden part of Northumberland but very near some major sites, castles, little towns, bookshops, cafes and good restaurants – all just off the A1. We would definitely book again

Peace, quiet and special hosts!

Had a peaceful couple days stay in this lovely accommodation! Breakfast was exceptional and the owner couldn’t have been any more accommodating! Ideally situated for travelling around Northumberland which in itself was beautiful ! Rooms: The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a great view of the gardens

Superb B&B! I visited in May, I had a wonderful few days at Chatton Park 5* run by Paul and Michelle. I was greeted by Michelle with professionalism and a warm smile, where she showed me to a room light and airy and tasteful decor. The windows looked out to the beautiful grounds with lush greenery. A large bed which was extremely comfortable. After a restful nights sleep I ready for a good breakfast which didn’t disappoint, and excellent quality of produce, cooked from scratch by Paul who did a wonderful job. Due to the location I was able to walk and see the beautiful sights of Northumberland and had overall an excellent stay. Thank you Paul and Michelle. I will definitely return.

Just returned home from Chatton Park House after a most fabulous 3 night stay. This place is a real gem and a great base for exploring the surrounding areas,we visited Alnwick Gardens and Holy Island during our stay and the beaches are only a short drive away for a morning walk to blow away the cobwebs. Breakfast was superb which meant we were ready to face the day on a full stomach. Our room was stunning with views over the well kept grounds and had the best nights sleep Highly recommend this beautiful property and cant wait to return sometime soon Thanks again for a brilliant stay

My wife and I stayed at Chatton Park over the August Bank Holiday weekend. In a nutshell, in made our weekend. When we arrived, we were given a warm and genuine welcome from Michelle. We were invited to take tea in the lounge once we had taken our bags to our room This was so welcome, a lovely cup of tea and cake, sat in the peace and tranquillity of the lovely lounge, looking out over the beautiful maintained gardens. Our room was immaculate. Excellent standard, tastefully furnished, views over the garden. A bottle of Prosecco on ice and a lovely card from Michelle and Paul wishing us a happy anniversary. The peace and quiet is what is most striking about Chatton Park. It is a ten minute drive off the A1. Set in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, it is the perfect location to enjoy some quality time. We experienced breakfasts on three mornings. I would say the ingredients on each breakfast were of exceptional quality. Our table looked over the garden. There was an excellent selection from the cold buffet. I have to limit myself to a full breakfast treat on the odd occasion. What a treat mine was. It was clear that nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast certainly set you up for the day. We spent our days exploring the area. Seahouses, Beadnell, Lindisfarne etc are a short drive from Chatton Park. We visited some of the restaurants recommended and enjoyed lovely food in the evening in the locality. Michelle was the consummate host, we were made to feel very comfortable during our stay. Only only regret was we had to return home at the end of our break. I would highly recommend Chatton Park for a luxurious and peaceful break in beautiful surroundings.

Having been let down by Airbnb we found Chatton Park House and what a find it was. Perfect location for the many places of interest in the area, super room and facilities and Michelle and Paul were attentive with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast first class too. We’ll be back.

Chatton Park is the perfect example of a bed and breakfast which, within its operating sphere, matches any hotel however many stars it has. The house is set in beautiful manicured gardens with an “impressive” drive way. The reception rooms are tastefully and immaculately furnished and the rooms themselves match any hotel in the North of England for grace, charm and facilities. The bathrooms are generously luxurious, there is no tokenism in the toiletries everything is high end and they even have the small grey make up face cloth. The view from my room matches a prestige hotel I stayed in Bath last year. The bed is very comfortable and sleep comes easy. Then of course there is the human element. Michelle is another Nothern host that is constantly striving to be better but offers no side of self importance. You feel welcome immediately. She has even managed to achieve that last year when we were weaving our way round all the COVID Protocols.  Her husband Paul is responsible for the outstanding breakfasts. The juice is cold and full of taste, the croissants light as a feather and warm and the hot and cold exquisite, again not bettered in my experience in prestige hotels.  paul and Michelle obviously know quality when they receive it and offer that same quality to their guests.  This year I stayed longer and walked up into the hills to the west. The Cheviot’s are really superb walking country. Back for a third round, you bet

My wife and I have just spent 3 nights here. We can’t imagine a more luxurious B&B, a warmer welcome or more accommodating hosts. The electric car charging point came in handy too! Thank you very much, Michelle and Paul.

My wife and I arrived after a car accident en route, unscathed but ruffled, with a recovery truck waiting on the drive waiting to pick up our car. Paul and Michelle took this all in their stride, whisked us and our luggage to our fabulous room overlooking their beautiful garden and in quick time sat us down to tea and cake in a beautiful, comfortable lounge. Next morning, after a lovely breakfast, Paul ferried us to Alnmouth and we took the train home, collected my wife’s car and returned to complete our 5 night stay break, enjoying comfort, friendliness, wonderful breakfasts and a beautiful house. Much better and more personal than many so-called 5 star hotels.

Our second visit here “far from the madding crowd”. Wonderful hosts, breakfast choices beyond compare and a large comfortable room with views of beautiful parkland. Michelle and Paul went above and beyond to make our stay perfection.

Michelle and Paul made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed our short stay at this luxurious mansion which has great views. Breakfast was spectacular and our only regret was that we were unable to stay for longer.

It feels like going home. We have just returned from our 6th visit to Chatton Park. If anything it just gets better. Stayed in our favourite room with a very  comfortable bed and everything a guest could require. Loved the new decor and carpets and everywhere is so clean and fresh. Breakfasts as good as ever. Michelle always has time to chat to her guests even when she is busy. A lot of hotel owners and other B&B owners could learn a lot from Paul and Michelle…maybe running courses for them could be a retirement job for the future.

This is a delightful B&B in a lovely peaceful location. Michelle really looked after us during our stay. Breakfast was delicious, a great choice from fresh fruit, yoghurts, croissants and full Northumberland breakfasts. Something for everyone. We highly recommend staying here, it’s a beautiful setting and great for seeing all the local attractions.

We had a fantastic 5 days in the lodge. We opted for the breakfast, which is superb. Michelle is a gracious host and the basket of goodies on arrival was very welcoming. The barbecue is top notch. The bed comfy and towels fluffy. A wonderful stay.

This was our second visit to Chatton Park. My husband thinks they serve the best English breakfast in the country! The rooms are very comfortable, large and light with comfortable beds. Michelle and Paul have thought of everything one could need. The elegant house is set in a very large garden, well away from a minor road so all is quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back!

Michelle greeted us on arrival, while Paul whisked our cases to our rooms. The beautiful property was spotless with all COVID precautions being taken. On a six week uk holiday from Australia we’ve pretty much seen and experienced a variety of accommodation from the unexpectedly great to the downright atrocious and all this while supposedly staying in 5 star hotels and b and b’s in whatever region we are visiting. I have until now not bothered to review any but will make an exception for Chatton Park house as it is certainly deserving of one. The house itself is lovely with beautiful gardens and quiet surrounds. We were welcomed by the friendliest and most accommodating hostess I have ever encountered… the owner Michelle who really is the most helpful and gracious of people, always smiling and at the ready with advice and suggestion for us. Our room and bed are better than any we’ve had on the trip, even the ones that charge 4 times as much and leave much to be desired. Breakfast is outstanding, crisp tablecloths, fresh fruit salad in individual serving glasses and a really good cooked breakfast prepared by Michelle’s husband Paul. The attention to detail is remarkable in this establishment, nothing is missed or overlooked. We are seasoned ( and spoiled ) travellers….not easily impressed if truth be told. It’s not often you get value for money to this extent , it certainly puts to shame a lot of the “ high end” places we’ve stayed at so far. So…..do not hesitate…go ahead and book, you will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.

Wonderful 5* break over Easter weekend for 3 nights. The house is clean and well furnished, breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The host Michelle is very friendly and efficient, we felt very well looked after and had a wonderful stay.

Stunning B and B!!! My family and I have just arrived home following a wonderful 2 night stay here. Whilst staying here we read other reviews on trip advisor, most of which were excellent, but a few were average which we could not understand at all. I think some people just need something to complain about! We booked the lodge and a double room for our stay. My partner and I stayed in the double room which was a lot more than a room! The bedroom itself was huge with a very large comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space for unpacking. We were left a chocolate each on our bedside tables each day which was a lovely little touch. The bathroom was, again, huge, with a double shower cubicle, luxury toiletries and fluffy towels. And hurray! The bath towels were very large and ample to wrap round yourself after a shower! Unlike the postage stamp sized towels you get in most hotels. Bath robes and slippers were also provided. We also had a cupboard which housed the kettle, a coffee machine, a small fridge with milk and water, the iron and ironing board. My mum, brother and sister-in-law stayed in the lodge which was just amazing! My brother especially enjoyed the tin of fruit cake that was left for us to enjoy. Breakfast was amazing. Especially the mushrooms and tomatoes I have to say! Not quite sure how these were cooked to make them so tasty but I would come and stay again for these alone! We were given a warm welcome and were well taken care of during our stay. All in all we had a fabulous time and would definitely stay again!
